R.S. Jagriti Niketan Senior Secondary School, Kathua was established in 1969 by the visionary educationist and philanthropist Shri P.N. Raina. It holds the distinction of being the first private high school and the first private higher secondary school in the Kathua district. The school was founded with the noble mission of providing quality education to the children of common people at an affordable fee.
In 1990, the school was upgraded to the Senior Secondary level and since then it has continued its journey towards academic excellence. Over the years, the school has maintained a strong academic record and earned recognition for its consistent performance in board examinations.
